The past few weeks have seen many celebs flaunt their style sense – or the lack of it
THEY GOT IT!
Kriti Sanon Wearing a t-shirt dress from Purple Paisley Boutique, Kriti chose black smokey eyes for a rock-chick look. Spot on, we say, but Kriti, perhaps the shoes could have been somewhat edgier to make the look pop. |
Malaika Arora Trust Malaika to rock vertical stripes without making this outfit look like a pyjama set! This jumpsuit by Deme By Gabriella was given a perfect accessory – a red lipstick! We loved that she kept the look minimalistic |
Deepika Padukone Sneakers, an easy breezy maxi dress, round sunglasses, hair tied in a loose ponytail: what’s not to love about this look?! Deepika layered the maxi dress with a t-shirt to add to the boho-sporty vibe! |
Athiya Shetty We love the colour on this brocade dress by Payal Khandelwala. The silhouette flatters Athiya’s body shape. Silver jewellery adds a regal touch to the look. The pockets on the dress just take it to another level of ‘awesome’! |
Alia Bhatt Alia rocks designer Masaba’s yellow jacket. The white top and blue denims were a good choice as they make the cape-like jacket do all the talking. If anything, we would like to change the Dior pumps to ballet flats! |
THEY DID NOT
Nidhi Agarwal Starlet Nidhi Agarwal (of upcoming movie Munna Michael) tried really hard to exude a cool vibe but her gold-sequinned, ripped denim did her in. Torso up, Nidhi looks good but the denims take you back to the ‘80s trash fashion. Do we need a rehash? No, we don’t think so. |
Katrina Kaif UK-based Peter Pilotto-designed maxi didn’t make for a pretty picture on Katrina. The embroidered neck didn’t go well with the colour block; it should have been one or the other. Together they looked rather incohesive. I am particularly not a fan of petticoat-style ruffled hems on fabrics used as patchworks |
Daisy Shah It was the launch of a designer store, and Daisy Shah came wearing a prom-ish powder blue dress with beige sandals. The sateen with ruffles and with those sandals and the lip colour… no, no, no! A dark plum lip colour with a different pair of shoes would have lifted this dress.. |
Sridevi Kapoor This dress/suit??? by AM:PM washes Sri out. It’s the cape on the dress that gives it a suit vibe, which in this case means its missing its bottom. That doesn’t make for a pretty picture! The platform heels look out of place – simple kolhapuris would have lifted the look. |
Tapsee Pannu Either you wear the skirt or you wear the shorts. In you want to wear both, for whatever reason, opt for boots for an edgier look. Maybe swap the t-shirt for a chiffon stringy top or something more feminine like a bell sleeve or ruffle top to complement the sheer skirt. |
