As we gather with family and friends during this festive time it is my pleasure to wish communities across New South Wales a Merry Christmas.
While people across the world may celebrate Christmas differently we can all identify with its universal message of peace, love and goodwill.
Our multiculturalism is one of the most successful examples of a harmonious society anywhere in the world.
This is one of our state’s greatest strengths and the NSW Government remains committed to unity and respect for all communities across New South Wales.
The Christmas message is particularly significant as we remember those killed in terror attacks that have taken place across the world this year, and as we mark the first anniversary of the Martin Place siege.
I hope the Christmas spirit will bring peace and comfort to many and I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
