Many viewers recall the spirited scenes between Devi and her mother, Nalini, in earlier seasons- in one of these scenes Devi says “I heard what you said the night Dad died. You said I wasn’t your daughter. I know I’m just a burden to you.”

In season 3, the mother-daughter duo have since grown to a stage where they are healing their fractured relationship after the death of Devi’s father Mohan, and fans couldn’t be happier to see the evolution.

The script writing, the plot, the chaos… we are all here for it!

For some fans, the representation of grief rings all too true for them and Devi’s (and Nalini’s of course) journey of mourning can be validating.

So after watching the season, what now?

Some Twitter users have expressed that they do not take the Netflix show lightly. After all, Devi’s therapist Dr Ryan (Niecy Nash) has advice we could all use every once in a while.

Word on the grapevine is that filming for the fourth (and final) season wrapped this month and is expected to release sometime in 2023. Till then, looks like we’ll just have to re-watch all three seasons all over again.
