Wayfinders: Ordinary People Changing the World
Presented by The Brahma Kumaris
In today’s complex world, marked by economic challenges, social inequality, and environmental issues, many feel overwhelmed and powerless, as if life is unfolding beyond their grasp. During these times, Wayfinders emerge… ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
Wayfinders: Ordinary People Changing the World is an event designed to offer hope, clarity, and a path to personal and collective transformation.
Through powerful personal storytelling, inspiring music, and meditation, guests will witness how ordinary people overcome adversity and ignite change – proving that even the smallest shift within can create ripples in the world around us.

The facilitated panel discussion will be divided into three sections with a specific
theme around Wayfinding.
- You are not alone! In times of personal challenge and hardship we often feel
that we are alone and isolated. The culture of the contemporary world is one where
many people feel alienated and disconnected (even within a network of family and
friends). Yet the situations we find ourselves in are often shared collective
experiences. In tough times, we often see humanity’s best – people coming together,
supporting one another, and shining through the darkness.
- The anchor within. During tough times, sometimes referred to as ‘the dark
night of the soul’, we discover that when we look within we find the inner power,
the inner wisdom, resources and solutions to apply to the external challenge.
- I am the shift: We are the shift . It’s all too easy to blame governments,
institutions, communities, families, workplaces and so on for the painful injustices
in our world. Yet, blaming frequently holds us in a personally disempowered inactive
state – expecting someone else or something else to change. When I change, the
world changes, or as is said: “Be the change you want to see”.
The intent of event is to create a progressive mood shift from darkness to light, despair to hope, confusion to clarity, chaos to order, resignation to resilience, and hatred to harmony – using the powerful narrative of personal storytelling.
