Cheer for the Men in Blue with the INDIGO CREW: Aus V Ind 2018-19

Special events organised by cricket fan club INDIGO CREW

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Australia’s Indian community is gearing up for the India tour this summer. Some special arrangements are being announced by Indian cricket fan club INDIGO CREW for all to make the most of the cricket this summer.

The rivalry between Indian and Australian cricket is fast overtaking the traditional Ashes clashes between England and Australia. The competitive spirit of the Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team seems to be at the strongest when confronting the Aussies.

With the Aussies hurting with the absence of skipper Steve Smith and danger man David Warner, this is perhaps the best time for India to make a clean sweep of their tour Down Under in all three forms of the game – the T20s, the Test series and the One Day Internationals. But after their poor showing during the recent tour of England, the Indian team seems to reinforce the belief that they are lions at home, lambs on tour.

Be that as it may, the INDIGO CREW is a group of passionate supporters of the Men in Blue.

We want to throng the stadiums together, make some noise, share the samosas we bring from home! Our hearts beat for Team India.

So this is what we will be doing and want all you cricket lovers to join us:

Bay of Tendulkar: Special reserve group seating for all the One Day International clashes in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne. If you sit in the Bay of Tendulkar, we will GIVE you a free curly hair Tendulkar wig and Tendulkar cut-outs. You need to come in your blue T-shirt and your dark glasses. To unlock the secret password to access the Bay of Tendulkar Tickets from Ticketek, email us your interest at myindigocrew@gmail.com and we will email you the password.

Hurry, because there are only 200 seats.

Imagine 200 Tendulkars all sitting together, cheering every run, yelling at every wicket and singing Chak De at every ball!

Sari and Sherwani Bay: The players have to wear white, but not us! So let us dazzle the crowds with our saris, sherwanis and kurtas. INDIGO CREW have organised a special bay on Day Three of the Test matches (Adelaide, Perth, MCG and SCG). Rock up in your saris and sherwanis, and WIN PRIZES! (If you’re in Sydney, think pink for Pink Day, and bring out your best pink sari/sherwani.)

How do you get into this reserved bay? Simply email us your interest at myindigocrew@gmail.com and we will email you the password. Go to Ticketek and buy your tickets.

Follow INDIGO CREW on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Phone (SMS only) 0490 705 729.

Stay tuned for updates and more.
