You’ll need to think about adopting COVID-safe practices at your workplace

As a small business owner, you’re probably starting to consider getting back to work on a more regular basis.

You’ll need to think about adopting COVID-safe practices at your workplace, for your staff as well as customers.

As the economy starts to reopen, it is now critical that operators think about how their businesses will run under the new social distancing requirements.

The Federal government recommends the  following to business operators:

  • Prepare plans so employees and customers know what to expect on a day-to-day basis and what to do in the event of a COVID-19 incident.
  • Develop workplace and business models to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This should include appropriate physical distancing and hygiene measures.
  • Prepare plans to respond to an incident involving an infected staff member or customer.
  • Prepare plans and protocols to recover after incidents including increased cleaning and testing.

One of the best ways to create a COVID-safe economy is by downloading the free COVIDSafe App and encouraging your staff and customers to do the same.
