Spring is in the air and Punjab is in the heart the Punjab Aussie Association of South Australia is proudly bringing the spirit of one of India’s most joyous festivals to life with Vaisakh Mela 2026, a grand, free, family-friendly celebration of Vaisakhi right in the heart of Adelaide.

Vaisakhi is more than just a harvest festival it is a deeply rooted cultural and spiritual milestone that marks new beginnings, gratitude, and the collective joy of community. Celebrated with enormous pride across Punjab and by Punjabi communities around the world, Vaisakhi carries with it centuries of tradition, colour, music, and togetherness. And this year, Adelaide gets to experience all of it.

From the moment you step into Civic Park, Modbury, you’ll be swept into a world of vibrant culture and infectious energy. Here’s what you can look forward to:

🥁 Bhangra & Giddha Performances – Watch the stage come alive with energetic Bhangra and the graceful, rhythmic movements of Giddha, two of Punjab’s most iconic and beloved folk dance traditions performed in full traditional costume.
