Sangeet is an 8th generation sarangi player, born into the legendary Mishra family who are of the renowned Banaras Gharana (school of music) in North India. A versatile performer, he is known for his solo recitals, accompaniment playing and successful collaborations with musicians from different genres across countries, creating a unique musical language.

Playing with soul straight from the heart, Sangeet plays with a great depth of cultural understanding and knowledge and has honed a distinct individuality to his playing.
