Fermenting For Justice – With Dolly Kikon

June 25, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Fermentation intersects with Dolly’s work on justice, human rights, and healing.

This event will include a presentation on Naga ferments and tasting a few dishes unique to Nagaland including meat dish, yam, akhuni, anishi, and a salad.

Dolly will share Naga fermented food cultures and the importance of recognising indigenous knowledge and tradition for a sustainable shared future.

After spending more than two decades engaging with foragers, human rights activists, feminists, food lovers, researchers, chefs, and dreamers from the Eastern Himalayas, she believes that the world deserves to know the rich and diverse world of fermentation of this beautiful region.
