Rani wearing a pink sari in 1974
I will live, I will fight, I will try to survive
If I lose, if I leave, I will take your love with me.
If I can, if I may, I will show my love each day,
In your thoughts, in your heart, you will see me smile away.
I recall the day – when my cancer became,
An acquaintance, on its way to being a friend.
I remember endless tears, as it said hello,
My heart sank, as it feared the unknown.
Please don’t say I am going, I am here standing strong,
Look at me; look at you, empowering this worthy cause.
Each pink thread, woven in, tells of my fight to live,
Do not say I gave up; even now I am fighting on.
Rani and Anton in 1988
Fight for me, fight for them, fight for all who take a stand,
The Pink Sari is the proof, some fights, must continue.
Join together, stand up strong, paint our fight with the hue of love,
Colour it pink, wear it proud, let your sari say it loud.
I will live, I will fight, I will try, to survive
If I lose, if I leave, I will take your love with me.
If I can, if I may, I will show my love each day,
In your thoughts, in your heart, you will see me smile away
