During the workshop, you will learn the intricate footwork, hand gestures, and body postures that make Odissi dance so captivating. You will learn basic dance steps, body postures and a short dance composition. You will explore Odissi hasta mudras (hand gestures) and learn how these can be applied to tell stories and convey the messages of ancient texts and scriptures. At the end there will be a demonstration of an Odissi dance item.
