Multicultural Australia presents Cultural Kitchen at Skygate

Multicultural Australia will give Southeast Queenslanders a taste of its Cultural Kitchen activation as part of this year’s LUMINOUS Festival, the largest multicultural event in Queensland’s history, in the lead up to the iconic event.

In partnership with SBS and Brisbane Airport, the Skygate activation will feature a home chef, originally from Afghanistan, sharing stories of her culture, community and journey to Australia with an engaging cooking demonstration showcasing a traditional dish – with tasters available for attendees.

The Cultural Kitchen offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the cultural diversity of our community by using food as a conduit for storytelling and connection.
