DESCRIPTION:  \nAnnouncing Multicultural Health Week 2026 Theme: Improving our mental health and wellbeing through physical activity \nMulticultural Health Week 2026 will be held from 31 August to 6 September 2026. We are excited to announce this year’s theme: Improving our mental health and wellbeing through physical activity. \nPhysical activity is an effective and accessible way to support our mental health and wellbeing at every age. For children\, adults and older people\, regular physical activity can improve sleep\, raise energy levels\, enhance confidence and self-esteem\, and support better mood and concentration. \nBeing physically active also helps reduce stress\, ease symptoms of anxiety and lower the risk of cancer and chronic health conditions. \nLisa Woodland\, Director\, NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service\, said: \n“We recognise the importance of supporting mental health and wellbeing within multicultural communities. Being physically active can be a simple and effective way to improve mental health and wellbeing.
