DESCRIPTION:In memory of the life and work of Bhagat Puran Singh\, 33 years from his passing. \nJoin us for a community film screening and conversation that connects coal projects in Australia\, climate impacts in Punjab\, and our shared responsibility to act with care. \nسانجھ: کہانیاں، ہوا تے زمین | ਸਾਂਝ: ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ\, ਹਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ \nTogether\, we’ll watch the powerful short film Voices for the Valley\, which follows Manjot Kaur\, a young climate leader raised in Mudgee—a region on Wiradjuri land where locals have resisted coal for over two decades—and rooted in Punjab\, where her ancestral village is facing heatwaves\, drought\, and ecological breakdown. \nThrough film\, stories\, chai and conversation\, we’ll explore what it means to protect land\, honour relationships\, and reimagine seva in a time of climate crisis.\nIn the spirit of saãjh—shared existence—this event invites us to pause\, listen\, and notice the patterns between seemingly distant places: Wollar\, Mudgee\, Punjab. \nAfter the screening\, we’ll open a warm\, welcoming space for storytelling\, reflection\, and collective action.
