Reading Time: 2 minutes

We ask Indian tourists who visited over the summer what they have loved most about their time in Australia…

“What impresses me most about Sydney is how clean it is! Swachh Bharat Abhiyan must really have taken off here! (laughs) The people are friendly. This is a good place
for my granddaughter to grow up.”
Abha Sharma,
Agra, India

“We’re loving the warm weather and sunshine here! In this pic we are at the Blue Mountains, spending quality time with the extended clan.”
Purna and Shiv Sharma,
Atlanta, Georgia, US

“We’ve always enjoyed the outdoors in Australia. Here we are taking in the fresh air at Dee Why Beach.”
Arun and Charu Tangri,
Nottingham, UK

“There have been many highlights from our first trip to Australia, one of which would definitely have to be seeing the Sydney Opera House from inside, after having seen the amazing building on TV for years. The Harbour Bridge Climb in Sydney, Phillip Island in Melbourne and seeing Indian tennis player Yuki Bhambri play at the Australian Open, and the Great Barrier Reef and the Aboriginal culture at Cairns are also special memories. The Australian people also impressed us with how friendly they are.”
Vivek and Neena Pal,
New Delhi, India

“I love Sydney for its beauty, its peace and calm, and the people’s warmth. St Mary’s Cathedral was one of the most beautiful buildings I have seen.”
Apoorva Sharma,
Agra, India
