Indian Link partners with Better Foundation for healthcare

Hosted by Better Foundation in collaboration with Indian Link, the aim of the fundraiser was to help provide better health facilities for the Blacktown community.

Indian Link was proud to be associated with a fundraiser for Mt. Druitt and Blacktown Hospitals. At an event held on 26 May at Rooty Hill RSL, funds were raised for the development of a new outpatient and specialist clinic within the Children’s Ward at Mt Druitt Hospital.

It was hosted by the newly established Better Foundation, the fundraising body of both hospitals. The aim was to help provide better health facilities for the Blacktown community. The fundraising event had plenty in store, right from With Andrew Daddo as MC and entertainment featuring Planet Groove and The Black Ties, as well as the Lander Toyota Car Draw, Live and Silent Auctions and an on the night raffle hosted by Indian Link Media.

The focus of the gala event was on supporting medical and nursing research with over 100 projects being carried out in laboratories and hospital wards. The range of disciplines and areas of interest include cancer, diabetes, paediatrics, endocrinology, weight loss surgery, anaesthetics, infectious disease, stroke, speech pathology, pharmacy and palliative care.
Indian Link was also part of the Blacktown Festival that included cultural performances such as Simply Voice INC acapella choir and a Polish dance by Lajkonic.
