recipe pic paneer

Dating back to ancient India, paneer is still the most popular cheese used in South Asian dishes. And after trying this recipe, you’re sure to see why!

300 gms paneer

1 large capsicum

1 onion

1 tomato

2 tbsp oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

1/2 tsp tumeric powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

Cut paneer and capsicum  into cubes and keep to the side. Puree tomato, and finely dice onion. Also keep to the side.
Now heat oil in a pan,  put in cumin seeds and when they start making a crackling  sound, add onion and fry till light pink.
Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and fry for two minutes.
Add tomato puree and fry. Then add capsicum and mix. Lower the heat and cover the pan for a minute. You do not need to cook capsicum for long, otherwise it will lose its texture and won’t taste good.
Remove cover, add garam masala and paneer and mix well. Cook for another minute and turn off the heat.
Serve with roti or paratha.

Enjoy!
